The History of the Hosts is a collection of short narrations telling the stories of Obelisk’s legendary Hosts. These incredible figures have shaped the course of humanity throughout the ages. For our first, History of the Hosts, we’ll explore the story of Glavius Adaeus, the very first Host:

Glavius Adaeus: Part 1

The Nylkwood did not speak in human words. Her voice was rainbow light shifting through crystal leaves. Her voice was crawling roots and ever changing paths. Her voice was the fog’s twisting plumes.   

In all the ages, none heard Nylk’s voice quite so loud as Glavius Adaeus. One day, in his youth, Glavius emerged from the Nylkwood holding a glowing crystal, a violet sphere large as the young boy’s head. Seeing Nylk’s gift in his hands, the monks of Eredith knew Glavius would be destined for greatness.
