Glavius Adaeus: Part 2

No stranger had ever reached the island monastery at the heart of the Nylkwood. For ten thousand years Old Eredith was preserved until the Beast King came with his mechanical carts and roaring weapons.

Glavius had witnessed death before, but never so much at once. Half the people he loved were gone in a moment, and dozens more fell as the teen was rushed to Nylk’s door.

The stone slammed shut behind Glavius, extinguishing the screams. In the darkness of the steps, the silence cut deeper than the terrors above. The not knowing consumed Glavius’ young mind. He sobbed, holding his crystal orb tight to his chest.
